Holiday warmth in our small town!

Hello, everyone!

One month until Christmas!
TIME TO START thinking about Christmas shopping and of course, spending time with family and friends. Research shows that your personal happiness is correlated to the time you spend with people!

On Friday, November 28, visit Vankleek Hill for BLACK FRIDAY, when businesses are open late until 8 p.m. There are lots of sales, special offers and refreshments up for grabs that evening! Visit The Review for mulled apple cider, home-made cookies and meet local authors! PLUS: You could win $500 in Vankleek Hill bucks for your very own Christmas Shopping Spree! Just save four of your receipts from shopping in Vankleek Hill, and deposit them at The Review offices with the contest form (the form is published in the November 26 edition of The Review or fill out a form at The Review). The deadline to enter is December 5; the winner will be drawn at 10 a.m. on December 8.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, take in the Vankleek Hill Christmas Craft Fair at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre. The Craft Fair is open 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 28; 9 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 29 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 30.

On Saturday, November 29, visit Heritage Lodge on Wall Street from 1 to 3 p.m. for its annual Christmas Bazaar. From 2 p.m. on, take part in ArtScramble at Arbor Gallery and take home an original work of art for just $25! A few tickets are still available for sale at The Review! Visit Arbor Gallery's website to find out more.

The Santa Claus Parade of Lights takes place on Friday, December 5 in Vankleek Hill -- always a popular event with the kids, who have a chance to meet Santa. That same evening, at Trinity United Church, you can take in an inspiring concert by Vivianne LaRiviere, who is launching "The Church Tour".

This handy newsletter is one way to keep up with everything that is happening in Vankleek Hill, but if you want a real taste of home more often, now might be the time to subscribe to The Review. Here's the deal: For just $35, which works out to 67 cents per week, you can receive the print edition AND the digital edition, too! During the month of December, each new subscriber will receive a festival glass gingerbread man filled with maple syrup!

Don't forget to tune in every Wednesday to 88.7 VankleekFM if you live in town. If you don't live in town, visit the VankleekFM website. And catch the livestreaming local radio show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tune in for community announcements from 6 to 8 p.m., mixed in with live interviews about stuff going on right here in Vankleek Hill. At 8 p.m., Sean Cooley takes over the airwaves with his history of hip hop music and listen to special guests, too on Vankleek Cooley!

There's always something happening in Vankleek Hill! See you soon!
