The legacy of Terry Fox was honoured across the region on Sunday, September 20. Terry Fox Run events were held in Alexandria, and at Voyageur Provincial Park. Each event raised funds for cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation.
There was a strong representation from the Vankleek Hill and East Hawkesbury areas on Saturday, September 19 at the Strong and United Rally against the Alto high-speed rail project. The rally was held at Fermes Legault near Rigaud. The rally featured several speakers, including Parti conservateur du Québec Leader Éric Duhaime.
